Department of Business Administration

Profile

The Department of Business Administration was started in the year 2009 with the objective of giving quality education to women students and to build their managerial skills with a view to mould them as Management Leaders, Senior Administrators and Executives in industries. The curriculum has been suitably modified to meet the challenges needs of the Indian Business Society. The programme concentrates on the core functional and new areas of management like Technology in Banking, Retail Management, Customer Relationship Management etc. The department has well qualified and experienced faculty, who focus on the upliftment of marginalised students. In the current globalised era, there is a great need for management leaders. The programme also lays strong foundation for higher studies and research.

  • A national competition on "Logo Creation" was conducted on 05.02.2024
  • In collaboration with IQAC and Peoples Development Initiatives (PDI), a training programme on ‘Basic Business Skills for Women Entrepreneurs’ was organized on 23.08.2024
  • Ms.R.Priya, Assistant Professor and Ms.S.Kayalvizhi, Assistant Professor of our department were the resource persons in the training programme on "Basic Business Skills for Women Entrepreneurs" on 23.08.2024
  • Dr.K. Aruna, Assistant Professor, Hallmark Business School, Tiruchirappalli, addressed the students on "Qualities of a good Leader" on 21.08.2024
  • A national competition on "Startup Talks" was conducted on 10.03.2023
  • An interdepartmental management games conducted on 17.02.2023
  • An interdepartmental quiz competition on the theme “Identify the Brands with Taglines” was conducted on 15.02.2023

  • A national competition on ‘Product Mirai 2022’ was conducted on 25.05.2022
  • A workshop on Financial Management was conducted on 28.01.2020. Dr.D.Sugumar Head, Department of Management Studies, CARE Business School, Tiruchirappalli and Mr.R.Venkatesh, Entrepreneurship coordinator, CARE Business School, Tiruchirappalli were the resource persons
  • An orientation programme for the competitive examinations was organized on 29.01.2020. Dr.P.Mohanraj, Professor and Head, Department of Management Studies, MIET Engineering College Tiruchirappalli addressed the students on the topic “How to crack TANCET”
  • Regular industrial visits arranged for final year students at ORBIT (Organisation for Rehabilitation of the Blind in Trichy)
  • Dr.S.Najma , Associate Professor, Department of Management Studies, M.A.M B School, Tiruchirappalli, addressed the students on “Personality Development and Team Building” on 16.12.2019

  • Ms. M. Arishobana of III B.B.A. won the first place in Bridal Makeup in Tulip organised by Hallmark Business School on March, 2024.
  • Students won the first place in the mime at the National Level Intercollegiate meet ‘Delantero 24’ held on 19.01.2024 organised by Holy Cross College, Trichy
  • Students won the second place in mime in Tulip organised by Hallmark Business School on March, 2024
