Department of Business Administration

Profile

The department of Business Administration was started in the year 2009 with the objective of giving quality education to women students and to build their managerial skills with a view to mould them as management leaders, senior administrators and executives in industries. The curriculum has been suitably modified to meet the challenges needs of the Indian Business Society. The programme concentrates on the core functional and new areas of management like Technology in Banking, Retail Management, Customer Relationship Management etc. The department has well qualified and experienced faculty, who focus on the upliftment of marginalized women students. In the current globalised era, there is a great need for management leaders. The programme also lays strong foundation for higher studies and research.

Department

  • A National Competition on ‘Startup Talks’ was conducted on 10.03.2023
  • An Interdepartmental Management Games was conducted on 17.02.2023
  • An Interdepartmental Quiz competition on the theme “Identify the Brands with Taglines” was conducted on 15.02.2023
  • A Special lecture on ‘Indian Legislative support for Women Empowerment’ was conducted on 06.02.2023. The Resource person was Honourable Judge. S. Somasundaram, III Additional Subordinate Judge, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Trichy.
  • A National Competition on ‘Product Mirai 2022’ was conducted on 25.05.2022
  • A workshop on Financial Management was conducted on 28.01.2020. Dr.D.Sugumar Head, Department of Management Studies, CARE Business School, Tiruchirappalli and Mr.R.Venkatesh, Entrepreneurship coordinator, CARE Business School, Tiruchirappalli were the resource persons
  • An orientation programme for the competitive examinations was organized on 29.01.2020. Dr.P.Mohanraj, Professor and Head, Department of Management Studies, MIET Engineering College Tiruchirappalli addressed the students on the topic “How to crack TANCET”
  • Regular industrial visits arranged for final year students at ORBIT (Organisation for Rehabilitation of the Blind in Trichy)
  • Dr.S.Najma , Associate Professor, Department of Management Studies, M.A.M B School, Tiruchirappalli, addressed the students on “Personality Development and Team Building” on 16.12.2019

  • Ms. S. Moulika of III BBA has been be showed with Miss Tulip – 2022 Award by Hall mark Business School, Trichy Ms. R.Divya, Ms. S. Devadharshini, Ms. S. Sneka, Ms. T. Akalya, Ms. S. Shanmuga Varshini, Ms. KP. Janani, Ms. G. Lavanya, Ms.U. Ajithasri and MS. S. Priyanka of III BBA students, successfully completed the ‘GIAN Course- Value Based Marketing’ organized by National Institute of Technology, Trichy in 2022
  • Ms. G. Kaviya has cleared the MAT examination in the year 2022
  • Every year many students clear TANCET examination
  • Ms. S. Geesthriya was received V place in the District Level Tamil Essay Competition organized by Kaviarasar Kalai Tamil Sangam, Namakkal on 26.01.022
  • Many students participated and presented papers in various seminars, webinars and conferences at national and international level
  • Ms. S. Moulika of III BBA has completed the ‘Job Skill’ Certificate Course conducted by Skill India and National Skill Development Corporation in 2021-2022
  • Ms. B. Ramya of III BBA won the Best Paper Award in the seminar titled "Study on Financial Innovation in Indian Capital Market" conducted by Jamal Institute of Management, Trichy on 02.03.2019
  • Ms. R. Kiruthika of III BBA won the Best Paper Award in the seminar titled "Demonetization and its impacts in India" conducted by Annai Vailankanni Arts & Science College, Thanjavur in 2018
  • Ms. M. Akila of III BBA won second prize in poem writing at a state level competition organised by St. Joseph College, Trichy in 2017
  • Ms. E. Sowmiya of III BBA won second prize in Fusion in IG FEST - an intercollegiate cultural festival organised by Shrimati Indira Gandhi College Trichy in 2017
  • Students won the Winner’s Shield in Corporate Show in MEDHA 2K17, a national level Management and Cultural Meet organized by PRIST School of Commerce and Management in 2017
