The Entrepreneurial Development cell of Seethalakshmi Ramaswami College was started in 2016. It was established with an aim of increasing the employability skills of women students who aspire to become entrepreneurs in the future. The cell has been set up under the Entrepreneurship Development Hub of SASTRA University to enlighten and develop entrepreneurship skills among women students and become empowered.
Goal- To empower women students to become entrepreneurs
Objectives
- To develop a strategy and structure for entrepreneurship development
- To create awareness on the conceptual framework of entrepreneurial development
- To inculcate entrepreneurial values
- To impart training in related fields
Activities
- Entrepreneurial Development Cell in collaboration with Tamilnadu Corporation for the development of women organized “College Bazaar” for three days from 27.08.2024 to 29.08.2024. Dr.S.Suresh, Project Director, Tamilnadu State Rural Development Mission, Tiruchirappalli, inaugurated the programme
- Entrepreneurial Development Cell organised a special meeting on “Startup and Business Model Canvas”at Vidhya Ganapthi Hall on 05.08.2024. The speaker for the meeting was Mr.G. ARUN KUMAR, Nodal Officer, KR Startup Incubation and Innovation Foundation & Co-ordinator – National Innovation and Start up Policy (NSP), K Ramakrishna College of Technology, Samayapuram, Tiruchirappalli
- A special meeting with Dr.N. Prasanna, Director i/c , BDU Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Career Hub, Co-ordinator, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli was organised on the topic “Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship” on 18.12.2023
- An awareness programme on Entrepreneurship and Innovation was organized by the Entrepreneurial Development Cell along with the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (Department of MSME, Government of Tamil Nadu), Bharathidasan University Hub, Tiruchirappalli-23 at Seethalakshmi Ramaswami College on 08.09.2023
