The Department of Computer Science was started in the year 1985, under the self-financed section. The department offers Bachelor of Computer Science and Master of Computer Applications.

An awareness programme on prevention against COVID-19 was organised in the adopted village Agalanganallur on 05.03.2021. Sanitizers and soaps were distributed to the villagers.

Computer literacy and women empowerment programmes were organised in the adopted village Mettupatti under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan on 25.01.2020 and 20.02.2020. The participants were given inputs on usage of technology for e-learning, e-booking, e-shopping, e-business and online payments
