Examinations

The academic profile of the examiners from different colleges, kept in the section (CoE) is made use of by the Controller of Examinations in the preparation of the panel of examiners.

Conduct of Examinations

The appointment of Chief Superintendent

On the suggestion of the Principal, the Head of a department is appointed as the Chief Superintendent for the session of April / November examination

Hall Tickets

• The computerized Hall tickets are generated and issued to the Chief Superintendent 3 days before the commencement of examinations
• Hall Ticket indicates the exam schedule of the regular and arrear papers with date and time of examinations

Practicals

• Undergraduate practicals are conducted and evaluated by Internal examiner

• Postgraduate practicals are evaluated by both internal and external examiners

• The internal examiners are suggested by the HODs

• External examiners are appointed by the COE, from the panel suggested by the HODs.

Valuation

• PG - Double valuation
• Double valuation done by Internal and External examiners
• III Valuation will be conducted when the difference between I and II valuation exceeds 10 marks
• No moderation of results after three valuations are done.
• UG - Single valuation
• The board passes the results

Special Examination

Special Examination is conducted for the benefit of students who have passed in all subjects in the earlier V semesters and failed in one subject in the VI semester. The results of the examination conducted for students who have failed in one subject in the VI semester are published within 10 days.

Retotaling and Revaluation

• Retotaling is done by checking whether marks have been awarded for all questions attempted by the candidate. All entries of marks will be checked in the answer scripts as well as in the statement of marks prepared by the examiner. In addition to this, the computer entry will also be checked.
• Revaluation will be done by a new examiner with the same scheme of valuation
