ACADEMICS

The success of our academic programme is its emphasis on combining theory with practical applications.

The autonomous status conferred on the college and the CBCS introduced in 2003 have helped us to introduce innovations in terms of Syllabus Designing, Methodology and Testing. Further refinement on the structure of the courses and syllabi designing has been done during this academic year 2008-2009 as per the directions given by Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education and the Bharathidasan University. As a result papers that enhance the soft skills, career skills and study skills have been incorporated in the regular academic framework. This system focusing on skills has facilitated more meaningful interaction between Arts and Science departments and widened the prospects of the students towards employability.

THE ACADEMIC PROGRAMME

The College follows the Common CBCS Course Curriculum implemented by the Tamil Nadu Government with effect from 2008-09 batch onwards.
